  1. Any tips for basic kickboxing someone could try at home to get the heart rate up?

      You could try shadow boxing. Make sure you set your stopwatch for 3 minutes. Then get in a basic fighting stance and shuffle in a circular motion while punching (jab, jab, cross). Once in a while try changing the direction of your circling. Or, you could do any number of drills, such as 5 left side kicks, followed by 10 high knees,and then 5 right sidekicks for another 3 minute round.There are many drills you can see explained in detail at https://www.youtube.com/user/9RoundTV you could also try.
